Current Computer: MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2017) hooked into large monitor

Current mobile devices:
iPhone 7 Plus

What does your typical workday look like?

7am - 8:30am:
Wake up. Meditate in bed using the Calm app (on a 289-day streak of daily meditation!). Once finished, walk into the kitchen where coffee is already made from the pre-set the night before and drink it while reading my Feedly and Pocket queues on my iPad. Get dressed, swap glasses for contacts, make a smoothie, and get ready to dive in.

8:30am - 12:30pm:
Likely in back-to-back video calls on Zoom with my co-workers and Clients. Utilizing the Google Suite, Slack, and a whole lot of other tools to deliver projects and manage my teams.

12:30pm - 1:30pm: Private 1:1 restorative yoga session with an instructor who comes to my house a couple times a week during my lunch break to help me recover from injury. If it’s not a day she comes, I try to get outside for a walk and some sun or go downstairs to stretch and move around a little bit.

1:30pm - 6:30pm:
Scarf down some lunch, get back to video calls and emails and Slacks.

6:30pm - 11pm: Cook Hello Fresh meal for dinner, husband arrives home from work, eat together, relax, TV, potentially some more work from the couch or calls with international Clients if the day requires it, FaceTime with multiple members of my family, and then in bed, lights out at 11pm.

Describe your workspace setup:

Here’s my home base. I work at a built-in desk by a door that has a door to the front of the house that I often keep open for natural light and to see people going by.

I also have a stand-up desk on wheels that I position throughout the house depending on where I want to be, what video calls I’m on, etc.

If it’s nice outside I set-up shop with my laptop poolside in the backyard at the table under an umbrella:

What do you listen to while you work?

I’m a Spotify Premium member and always look forward to Mondays when they come out with the personalized Discover Weekly playlist. I fluctuate in terms of music preferences -- sometimes I need music with no lyrics to concentrate and other times I’m all about jamming out to my favorite Broadway show tunes, Billy Joel, John Mayer, Michael Buble, Sara Bareilles, etc. I’m less about the loud hardcore rock, and more about the mellow jams or upbeat pop tunes.

Aside from your phone and computer, name a gadget you can’t live without in your workspace:

My essential oil diffuser. I have a collection of about 30 oils that I rotate depending on my mood. I love playing with different combinations and breathing in the scents throughout the day. We have a few diffusers stationed throughout the house.

For more about me and how I work, here’s a Medium post from about four years ago.
