Quota is a B2B fintech SaaS that has been designed for Accountants, Bookkeepers and Advisors who need a simple way to understand their Small Business clients - and allow those clients to understand their own businesses better, all with zero overhead. Founded in Calgary in 2019, funded and now headed towards Series A, Quota is becoming a new standard in small business benchmarking and real-time small business intelligence. Founded the brains behind Wagepoint and built by alums of Citymapper, Quota is an early stage, remote first, async forward, development heavy environment - which is also open and transparent.

Remuneration wise, we’re fully funded and on a path into Series A - so depending on your skillset, factor in how post-seed and then the follow-on Series A would grow that remuneration, equity and benefits package over time.

While we’re not able to pay FAANG level salaries yet, we do know that people, in these inflationary times, have to actually eat and make car payments. So we aren’t in the ridiculous mindset of heavy equity offers (unless that’s your vibe), and we’re more than happy to openly discuss relative market value one-on-one. All roles come with a solid equity element that has realistic vesting and a low strike.

We take holidays and time-off when we need to, we’re 100% remote across a very wide time zone bracket, we work asynchronously as possible with weekly IM check-ins - and we’re very aware that everyone has a complex personal life and things like kids. 

A typical hiring process at Quota will involve an initial video call for successful applicants, and feedback or those unsuccessful. That initial call will be with one of the founders, and will be focused around discussing your career, hopes, dreams, likes and dislikes. From there successful applicants will move onto a second round call with the person in charge of that role specifically, and will be focused around role-specific diligence, experience and knowledge. Sometimes that's enough for us to make a decision, but we reserve the right to have a final round call with another member of the team if we have unanswered questions or we feel the role requires it. We try to be mindful of your time, and not ask for things like code reviews or design tasks.
