BaseLang provides Spanish classes via online tutors. Our customers are passionate language learners, based all over the world, and most of our team is based in Latin America.
Almost everyone in the company works remotely. There will be nobody looking over your shoulder. So you need to take initiative to get stuff done on your own. There’s no micromanaging.
There’s no blaming (with anything that goes wrong, we just find out what changes we can make to our systems to ensure it doesn’t happen again, and that’s it). It’s really simple - each person has a role, and if you do well at yours (expectations will be clear), then everyone is happy.
We see world-class support customer service not just as the right thing to do, but as an investment in increasing the lifetime value of each customer, and in increasing referrals. If every time someone needs to talk to support they are blown away by how helpful, friendly, and fast we are, that’s good for business.
