Are You A Research-Based Writer Looking For A Stable Gig?

Join Us And Use Your Skills To Become A Trusted Advisor In The Sex Lives Of Thousands Of People

If you're looking for a role where you can:
  • Let your research skills shine
  • Always have the support of your editor
  • And truly help people with your writing

Then this page could literally change the course of your career. But only if you keep reading.

First, though, a little bit about us.

Who We Are

At Sexual Alpha, we pride ourselves in creating the BEST sex toy recommendations and sex education guides on the internet.

Sure, there are a ton of sex toy blogs out there. But our superpower is turning floods of information into real knowledge to help our readers navigate the wild jungle of the sexual wellness industry.

Over the years we’ve sharpened our “BS detectors” to effectively filter through fake reviews, lies and marketing ploys. We stay away from the crappy toys and let the best ones rise above the noise.

Our reviews are based on rigorous research and hands-on testing by veteran sex toy experts.

We’re on a mission to review all the sex toys that matter - and there’s a whole lot of them! But because we refuse to sacrifice quality for quantity, we need a couple more writers on our team.

That’s where you come in.

You’ll help us create comprehensive research-based reviews, roundup articles, and guides to share with our audience. You’ll deliver engaging and informative content that our readers can trust and love to read.

But what’s in it for you, and why would you want to join us?

6 Reasons To Join Sexual Alpha As A Writer

1. Let Your Research Skills Shine

Our content is only as good as the research that supports it.

Sure, we’d probably be able to produce tons of reviews every week if we skipped the research and relied on a few superficial Google searches instead.

But then our blog would kind of suck, don’t you think?

We’re not a content farm so we appreciate writers like you who take the time to learn everything they can about their topic.

Sure, our topics might not be what you’re used to e.g. best sex toys for men, best thrusting dildos, best fleshlights… but they are worth learning and writing about. Thousands of people are trusting us to give them the most accurate advice possible.

And while fantastic research takes time, practice, and patience, we know you’re up for it because it’s already one of your favorite things to do!

If you’re looking for a place where your research skills can shine, this is it.

2. Never Start With A Blank Page

Even experienced writers can spend hours staring at a blank page. After all, getting started is often the most challenging part.

That won’t be the case when you work with us.

Instead, we help you dive right in because we provide detailed templates and briefs for every assignment. Here’s a quick preview of what you’ll start each article with:

  • Title
  • Exact article outline to follow
  • Sentiment and emotional focus of the review
  • Detailed information on who the target audience for the product (and your review) is
  • Our competition’s content on the same subject
  • Our take on the product after testing it
  • Useful links to get started with your research

Of course, your job is to meet the brief, do your research and deliver a completed article. But you’ll never be left alone to “just figure it out” on your own.

Also, we won't expect you to optimise your review for SEO keywords. That's our editor's job.

If you’re looking to feel supported in your work, then come work with us!

3. No Unrealistic Deadlines Or Quotas

We won’t impose unrealistic deadlines on you. Instead, we’ll agree on reasonable ones together.

You don’t have outrageous word counts to meet either. Our top writers consistently deliver two articles per week, each piece being approximately 2,500 words.

If you can deliver more than that, that’s great! But you’ll be doing extensive research to pack as much insight into each article as possible. So we prefer quality over quantity.

Does that sound fair? Then this is the job for you!

4. Stability You Can Count On

Freelancing as a writer is great when you have a large base of consistent and reliable clients.

But that consistency can take years to build, and you’re often stuck chasing new gigs week in and week out instead.

You don’t have to worry about that with us because we offer a steady stream of work. We request a minimum of two articles per week but if you’re available to write more, that works for us, too. And you’ll get paid every two weeks!

That means no more hustling 24/7 or juggling multiple clients.

At Sexual Alpha, you’ll be fairly rewarded and treated with an appreciation for your contribution. Because we want you to stay at our company for the long term.

So if job stability is a priority for you, we're a great match.

5. Help Thousands Of People Enjoy Better Sex Lives

Sex - but especially sex toys - is a sensitive topic for a lot of people. These people are looking for a safe space to find honest guidance and unfiltered advice.

And thanks to your work, they’ll find their safe space on our blog.

We focus on sex toys, so you’ll mostly write roundup and single product reviews and guides. These guides will help people pick the best and safest toys for themselves and their partners.

We believe in giving fair and thorough reviews. So all of your work will be honest, transparent, and educational.

But, most importantly, it’ll have a direct impact on thousands of lives. To put it in perspective, we’ve had over 337,859 visitors in the last 30 days alone!

If this is something you’d enjoy doing, then you’d be a good fit for the role!

6. Work For A Company You Actually Believe In

We help people find renewed variety and add spice to their sexual relationships. It's something we’re passionate about, and we hope you are, too.

While we care about social issues, we don’t cover topics like feminism, LGBTQ+ rights, sexual freedom, etc. We're just not that kind of site.

Instead, we give relatable, down-to-earth sex toy advice. And recommending the best products is always our priority.

We know that this role isn’t for everyone. But we take pride in our work and love what we do!

So if you’re naturally curious about sex, kinks, and sex toys and are a passionate writer, join us and get paid to do what you love!

Here's What We Expect From You

  • You’ve written online content for at least 2 years or have other relevant writing experience (ideally in writing product reviews)
  • You have strong research skills and can easily spend hours scouring the web to find what you need
  • You’re able to explain complex ideas simply
  • You have impeccable spelling and grammar, and an eye for detail
  • You’re reliable and meet the deadlines you commit to
  • You’re sex-positive and open-minded (experience using various sex toys is ideal but not mandatory)
  • You can meet our minimum weekly word quota (see below)

Our normal payment range is 5-6 cents per word. We request a minimum of 5,000 words (2 articles) per week.

To give you an idea, we paid one of our writers USD 1,300 for the month of June for about 70 hours of work. But if you're able to produce more, we'll be happy to pay you more too.

Also, once you've proven yourself as a reliable contributor, we can discuss increasing your per-word rate.

Most of the products we review are tested by our team, so you don't have to.

In cases when we don't get our hands on the toys, we consult with someone who's actually used them. Either way, you'll be basing your reviews on real-life experiences, not just online research.

We review sex toys for men and women. We expect you to be able to cover both perspectives.

We’re based in Latvia, but you’re free to work from anywhere in the world.

This is a freelancing position that can quickly lead to full-time for the right person.
