The Digital Marketing Project/Account Manager role is a hybrid role of both account and project management, serving as a primary client contact supporting our growing digital marketing client base. They will work with a diverse team of digital marketing strategists, campaign managers, SEO specialists, designers, writers, analysts, and developers.

This is a remote position working with a distributed team. Some travel is required.

Job Responsibilities

Interact with clients
  • Manage and build strong relationships with clients while providing various levels of service depending on the scope of digital marketing projects (digital advertising, SEO, analytics, etc.)
  • Serve as main client contact and provide regular status updates
  • Respond to client emails regarding digital campaigns, from campaign development to ongoing monitoring and optimizations
Interact with internal teams
  • Lead a team of digital marketing strategists, campaign managers, SEO specialists, designers, writers, analysts, developers, and other team members to ensure that client deliverables and project deadlines are met
  • Lead internal project meetings and communicate client business needs to the internal project team
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to internal team members while communicating effectively to set and manage expectations
Account Management
  • Responsible for client retention and renewals
  • Regular account planning meetings with clients to identify opportunities to expand the client relationship
  • Work with clients to collect project requirements and to write and negotiate project scopes and budgets
Project Management
  • Responsible for the successful initiation, planning, monitoring, and closure of assigned projects
  • Accountable for on-time, on-budget project delivery
  • Development and management of project plans, project status reports, timelines, budgets, and resources
  • Identifying and mitigating potential project risks
  • Learn and use project management tools and software including but not limited to Basecamp, Mavenlink, and Google Drive
Experience/Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in a client-facing role as an account manager or project manager in an agency setting, with special focus on digital marketing deliverables (paid advertising, analytics, SEO, personalization, etc.)
  • Demonstrated understanding of the resources and tasks required to deliver and produce digital marketing campaigns
  • Strong problem solving, analytical, and decision-making ability
  • Exemplary communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills including the ability to present in front of a group
  • Superior time management and organizational skills with experience working on multiple tasks with multiple deadlines
  • Ability to work well under pressure and flexibility to adapt to demands as needed
  • Motivated with the ability to self-manage and interest to expand knowledge
