Senior Front-End Web Developer/Designer
NCRI is currently seeking to hire a Senior Front-End Web Developer/Designer for a 6 month contract (with possibility of extension or full-time employment). The position is fully remote, with flexible hours (20+ hours per week expected), and the hourly pay rate is $60 - $100 commensurate with experience.
The person hired for the role will lead NCRI's ongoing project to develop front-end tools that visualize social media data for researchers in misinformation & extremism. As the team grows, this person will also be responsible for managing and mentoring junior developers.

- Experience with user interface and user experience design (UI/UX)
- Proficient in a general-purpose programming language (Python preferred)
- Experience with using REST APIs to access and manipulate data
- Experience using git in a team environment
- Comfortable working in the Unix command line (Bash)
- Experience with relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL)
- Experience with querying ElasticSearch
- Experience in working with social media data, including visualizations and analysis
- Familiarity with Asana or other agile project management software
