CVEDIA is looking for an experienced computer vision engineer who has previous knowledge of Unity and is looking for a dynamic environment where pushing the boundaries is the norm. You will be responsible for generating synthetic datasets for our clients to improve their neural network models using synthetic data generated on SynCity.
Perform software engineering and computer vision algorithm development on unmanned/autonomous air, sea, and underwater vehicles. Perform full lifecycle software development in a small team environment. Duties include concept development for unmanned vehicle applications, algorithm development, and software engineering.
Software and Algorithm development for computer vision, image processing, machine learning, and data fusion on unmanned air, ground, and sea platforms to enable navigation/sensing in challenging environments. (80%)
Document algorithmic approaches, test results, prepare technical reports, present results, and demonstrate system capabilities to peer review groups, partners, working groups, and sponsors.(20%)

Required Qualifications: B.S. in Computer Science, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or other related technical discipline with 3 years of relevant experience to include a minimum of 1-2 years of prior Computer Vision and/or Deep Learning development experience. Experience in C/C++ software development and OpenCV. Able to work independently and with a team, possess excellent written and oral skills.
The ideal candidate will possess initiative, creativity, breadth of knowledge and a desire for continuous learning.
Desired Qualifications: M.S. in Computer Science, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering with at least 3-5 years of prior Computer Vision and/or Machine Learning development experience . Prior experience developing software for unmanned platforms. Experience in working with Unity, C/C++. Additionally, exposure to any or all of the following technologies is beneficial: CUDA, GPGPU computing, Caffe, MATLAB, Boost C++ libraries. Familiarity with embedded programming principles and algorithm optimization for resource-constrained platforms.
